Happy Monday, Dear Brides!

It’s a special Monday…as we get to introduce you to an amazing couple from Scottsdale, Matthew and Lauren! Here’s is their sweet story on how they were engaged along with a sneak peek from the fun and romantic afternoon we spent with them capturing their engagement session photographs at the Civic Center Mall of Scottsdale recently.

They reconnected online. Well, not online as in eHarmony or Match.com. Matthew had been in Tempe for college and met Lauren through a series of friends. While Matthew definitely thought she was beautiful and a sweet girl, nothing had actually sparked at that point. He went back to Yuma for a job at the time and spotted Lauren through a friend’s Facebook profile and soon his heart was wrapped up. It took some serious convincing on his part to have a long distance relationship. Although they joke that she first asked him out…it was Matthew that between flowers, a teddy bear and her birthday…she finally gave in and they did the long distance thing for quite a while.

Who gets engaged at the top of Trump Tower??

Matthew’s first idea of getting engaged and asking Lauren to marry him fell through. While on vacation together in New York, Matthew’s uncle had a connection to take a private tour on the top of Trump Tower. Matthew knew at that moment that it was the perfect time to ask her. After getting through all the security and being escorted up a private secret elevator to the top…Lauren was taken completely by surprise when Matthew was down on one knee pronouncing his love and asking her to spend the rest of her life with him. How awesome and romantic!! How many people can say they were engaged at the top of Trump Tower overlooking Central Park on a beautiful summer day in July? Matthew and Lauren.. that’s who. Wow.
