Hello Beautiful Brides!
It’s Wedding Gown Wednesday and I have to say, I’m very excited to bring you this post and start this conversation!
So many brides struggle trying to either go with the times or stay timeless when it comes to selecting their ultimate wedding gown. No matter what the overall budget of the wedding; in most cases the bride will have what the bride wants when it comes to her wedding gown. And rightly so. There is nothing like stepping out to walk down the aisle and hearing gasps and sighs from your guests with each step. You want to be your most beautiful self on wedding day, especially for your groom.
I had a recent conversation with a Dreamcicle bride who is searching for her perfect wedding gown. Her groom tends to lean toward the princess styled, full skirt gowns and she seems to like the fit and flare. I happen to love to browse the latest styles and have my own opinions of what seems to be the trend this year as far as cut goes. While I love most all styles, I’m still an old fashioned gal and scream inside like a school-girl over a gorgeous princess style gown!
The Demetrios Ilissa 536 Strapless Wedding Gown
Which leads me to this post that I have to share with you. While out there peeking around–I came across an amazing wedding gown that I fell absolutely head over heels!! It’s the Demetrios Ilissa 536 Strapless ball gown with a sweetheart neckline, beaded Swarovski crystal bodice (to die for!!), basque waist, corset back, beaded tulle skirt and attached train! I love the images I found online–but I really wanted to see it in action so I found this video. Oh man.. first of all, I’m in absolute love with Italy and can’t wait to photograph a bride there (my bags are packed—really, call me if you still need your photographer!). Secondly…the Swarovski crystal bodice on this wedding gown just glistens in the light! The pattern in which the crystals were applied scream elegance. With the basque waist and detail, this gown is perfectly cut for the female body and hugs in all the right places. Oh and the train! As the model glides along, she actually looks like she is floating. It’s just so..so…princess-like!
There are several other stunning gowns featured in the Demetrios 2014 Wedding Collection video for your viewing pleasure. The 536 Strapless wedding gown is shown in the first :30 Seconds. I love a few of the others featured in this video as well. What are your thoughts? Would you love to be married in an incredible flowing gown like this one?
