Happy Friday Dreamcicle Brides! It’s been a busy week, running from place to place, prepping for events. There were several shoots, some planning for a wedding tomorrow (so excited!) and …. well, you get the picture! We LOVE staying busy, and today, I’d like to share what we were up to last night.

Dreamcicle Tips for Brides: Bridal Open Houses To Go or Not To Go

Last night, we were fortunate to be able to participate in a Bridal Open House. It was a gorgeous event with lots of ideas and vendors available for future brides. There was catering, wedding stylists, a DJ, tuxedos, floral preservation,  flowers, and, of course, photography! PJ’s Flowers made a beautiful arrangement for our table, and we are so thankful for the added touch of elegance. Not only did we speak with several newly engaged couples, we were able to network with people in our industry.

While an Open House is important to the vendors, it’s even more important for brides. Even if you’ve been engaged for a while and have many of your vendors chosen, I’d still recommend you attend open houses when you can. You’ll have the opportunity to speak, one on one, with many different vendors in a more intimate setting than you’ll find at a Bridal Expo. No waiting in line for what seems like hours trying to talk to someone. You’ll be able to view their work, ask questions, and conduct a mini interview to see if they might be a fit. Last night, there were beautiful arrangements, amazing food to taste, tuxedos to look at, and great tunes from the DJ …. all in one place.

If you don’t find the type of vendor you need at an open house, ask for a referral.  If you like what you see, I’d suggest making an appointment with the wedding professional to discuss the full range of their services. Calendars fill quickly, and you don’t want to miss the opportunity to discover that perfect partner that will connect with you and your groom.
