Remember… never get too tired, hungry or angry dear brides!

Hello Beautiful Brides!

Happy Monday… or is it? Of course it is! It’s the start of a new week and even though you were probably inundated with details all weekend long, Monday is a new beginning to what you can make a stress free week! So let’s start this off right. In all of the hustle and bustle of wedding planning, be sure to take time to remember why it is that your head is spinning in the first place. This is an exciting and amazing time of your life. As soon as you say I do, I promise that all this stress will be gone forever. You just have to get to the other side and to prove I’ve got your back,  here’s your quick pep talk.

Check out these stats!

First off, you are so very fortunate to have found the one true love of your life and soon enough the day will come when you’re walking down the aisle. It doesn’t happen to just anyone. There are 112 million unmarried people over age 18 in the U.S., representing nearly 47% of the adult population according to the U.S. Census Bureau (as of 2012).  So you’re super lucky.. something definitely to be thankful for. However, in the game of wedding planning the rules are simple; don’t get too tired, too hungry, or too angry. Be sure you’re getting enough rest—you need your 8 hours of beauty sleep a night dear brides! Also.. now is definitely the time to eat properly to keep up your energy and immune system, we’re going into flu season that also happens to be bridal show season as well where you may find yourself in a sea of people. Eat lots of fresh vege’s, fruits and drink a minimum of 8-10 glasses of water a day. Take good care to not get so stressed that you end up with a cold or worse.  So give yourself permission to have a super delicious healthy lunch today. And… deal with things as they come up. Whatever you do while making your wedding day your own, don’t let little things build up and make you crazy. You have an incredible engagement ring on your finger—you’re a big girl now.

Now for a little love….

When you’re done reading this, I want you to go to the bathroom and look in the mirror. Even if you’re at work.. take a quick break and head to the ladies room. Just stand there and gaze at your beautiful self for 10 seconds (without freaking anyone out of course!). Yes, I really want you to do this. It’s okay to smile, and then be sure to smile right back at you.  Give yourself some love. You deserve it! (Here comes the big smiles… I can feel it!) Ready? As you look into those incredibly beautiful eyes of yours imagine how amazingly gorgeous you’re going to be marrying the love of your life on your wedding day. Imagine at this moment what his eyes are going to look like the second he sees his beautiful bride standing before him. I bet you’re going to see an infinite love that’s for you and your heart only… his eyes are going to say so many wonderful things all in the matter of seconds. I see it every time we photograph a wedding and it’s striking when it happens. It’s one of those few rare and special moments in life that we want to cling to forever. That’s just one of the many gifts and rewards for you dear bride; for all you’ve endured leading up to that moment. Now.. take 3 big giant deep breaths in.. and slowly let all the stress melt away with each exhale. You’ve got this. I believe in you.

Remember this phrase as a reminder of the notes above about not being too tired, too hungry or too angry and Keep Calm and Marry On! 🙂

Till next time,

Kristi xoxo
