I was asked a question the other day–on whether we still loved taking photographs of couples. Without a doubt we do. Being a wedding photographer in Arizona offers some amazing locations to get creative and find ways to really showcase the love that’s shared in our brides and grooms. If you want mountains or gorgeous sunsets, surely you can find something that’s perfect anywhere in the Phoenix area. Romance can even be found in a quaint and beautiful park–like the one featured here in this post. Not to mention the obvious reasons we love to photograph our couples. We LOVE to capture LOVE! Spend a few minutes with us reading on as we share all the fun and wonderful details below.
When we first met Jennifer and Adam we knew that they were meant to be a Dreamcicle Couple. She was just as sassy as can be–and he was by all means head over heels for her. Plus!! She has RED wedding shoes!! Those that know me know how much I love shoes, but I LOVE red wedding shoes even more!! They first met at work…and for the longest time, Jennifer thought her future husband was actually from another country…Austria! There’s a reason… she works for a company whose main HQ is located in Austria and there are always dignitaries flying in and out visiting here in Phoenix. She had seen Adam a few times running around the office and always just assumed he was from HQ as he wasn’t local. Turns out, he’s a former Marine and was just visiting from another state at the time. He doesn’t speak a bit of German! Well not that I know of anyway.. maybe he knows a few words. 🙂
They have such a love for each other and it really comes through in the images we captured of them. In fact… we had a cloudy day to work with. Not much in the way of that golden delicious sunshine we love in which to photograph our couples. To our surprise, it even rained. And what do you do when it rains? You get creative. So, we sat them down in a rose garden on top of the beautiful quilt Jennifer’s mom made them and because they’re so incredibly relaxed around one another, we just let them do what they do best. BE TOGETHER. That’s when the love started flowing. 🙂 See, they’re total homebodies. They’d much rather be together alone at home, watching movies or hanging out…than just about any other place on earth. Unless, of course, they’re traveling. They both love to get out and go explore. I imagine they’ll do just that when they hit the Big Island in Hawaii for their honeymoon. Especially with all those waterfalls and volcanoes…they’re going to have fun!
When asked what they’d say to each other if they had to live apart for a long period of time, it was just too much for Jennifer to bear. Her tears are proof enough just how much she loves the man that on their wedding day will vow to honor and protect her. You can see it clearly shine right in his eyes, he already does. Their sense of humor and laughter kept us giggling–the love they share between them warmed our hearts and the day was as beautiful as can be; rain or shine. A perfect example of why we LOVE to capture love.

We had so much fun at Kiwanis Park that afternoon. It was a bit windy but I got to kiss my honey over and over for the camera – not too shabby! Plus Kristi & her hubby, Brian, made the afternoon fun with lots of laughing & kidding around. We had a blast!
