I’d like to introduce you to Adrian and Yvonne Becerra! Here’s their story. I could sense a change in Yvonne. When we first met we clicked right away (love when that happens! 🙂 and started to get to know one another on a personal level. Every time she mentioned Adrian’s name… she would glow. What really got my attention was that she didn’t just glow.. she also had that twinkle in her eye that told me she had found the one! And boy did she!
Then when she introduced me to Adrian it all started to make sense. Yvonne was smiling from head to toe..and even though they’re not really a “gushy” couple, they both gushed for what seemed like months before their wedding. It was evident that he was the perfect match for her as you could tell right away that he was the peanut butter to her chocolate and together they made the perfect blend of Becerra love. Through their friendship; they’ve both taught me that whether you love yourself, love one another or love God, the key word is love. And it doesn’t come lightly with them.
See, I happen to love people and get attached easily–I have a tendancy to pull them into my fold as my own. With these two, it was easy to do because they’re just THAT special! It wasn’t too long and they asked us to photograph their wedding and I gotta tell you, bringing them to the studio to shoot their engagement session last fall is one I’ll not soon forget. Not only do I think I can speak spanish better than Adrian can, Holmes. (Yes, spoken in my best faux Spanish accent!). I love to tease him! He’s a manly man and wasn’t into no “wussie” poses. Although he was a little nervous during our engagement shoot, the only way to get him to loosen up was to find some kind of key word that would ge him to smile. His gorgeous bride-to-be knew exactly what that might be. As soon as she uttered the word “baaaaaccccon” really slow, Adrian’s face softened and he smiled from ear to ear. I’m thinking there could be some sort of inside joke on that one… and, the Sangria probably helped a little too! (Shhhh!)
